Your Questions Answered
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a shifting Hajj package?
In a shifting package you stay in accommodation further from the Haram during the busiest days of Hajj and move to a hotel closer to the Haram before or after. It is a popular way to keep the cost of Hajj lower.
How is shifting Hajj different from non shifting Hajj?
A non shifting package keeps you in the same hotel near the Haram for your whole stay in Makkah. A shifting package includes a move between two places of stay, which makes it more affordable.
How long are your Hajj packages?
Our Hajj packages range from 10 to 18 days. Shorter packages focus on the days of Hajj, while longer ones give you more time in Makkah and Madinah.
When should I start planning for Hajj?
As early as possible. Places for Hajj are limited each year, so it helps to prepare your documents, finances and health checks well ahead of the season.
Who is Hajj obligatory for?
Hajj is required once in a lifetime for every adult Muslim who is physically and financially able to make the journey and can travel safely.
What are the main days of Hajj?
Hajj takes place from the 8th to the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. Pilgrims stay in Mina, stand at Arafat, spend the night in Muzdalifah, stone the Jamarat, offer a sacrifice and perform Tawaf and Sa'i.
Can elderly pilgrims or those with health conditions perform Hajj?
Many do, but Hajj is physically demanding. Speak to your doctor before booking and let our team know about any mobility or medical needs so we can advise you on suitable arrangements.
How should I prepare physically for Hajj?
Hajj involves a lot of walking, often in hot weather. Start walking regularly a few months before you travel, break in comfortable footwear and learn the steps of Hajj in advance.
What documents and vaccinations are needed for Hajj?
You will need a valid passport and must meet the health requirements set by the Saudi authorities, which are confirmed each year. Our team will share the current list when you enquire.
How does Hajj booking work for UK pilgrims?
Hajj arrangements for UK pilgrims follow the rules set by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, and these can change from year to year. Contact us and we will explain the current process and how we can help.
